Ore Arch Floor Lamp | Marc Sadler can be a genius for straightforward yet unimaginable solutions
– take Twiggy, for example, an easy, flexible arc lamp.
One day he got into the corporation and showed us something very interesting: an angling rod.
The designer believes that the simple shape and suppleness from the material’s performance makes Twiggy unique and different in the other products out there: “The material can be a carbon/fiberglass mix, put together having a binding resin. It has a high mechanical resistance and is extremely light and ductile.” The fact that it can be ductile enables the creation of shapes which were ‘stretched’ for the very limit also to obtain unusually sized diffusers. The flexibility from the material defines the ample and essential curve from the arm that carries the light source in the base, that’s height adjustable thanks to a method of counterweights, and length adjustable having a list of arm extensions.

Twiggy Floor Lamp consists of linear sections, just like an angling rod from the support for a tent. When it can be taken apart it occupies very little space once it can be assembled it curves harmoniously. A simple system of counterweights, in a very space over the diffuser, allows the height to be adjusted at distances of 5 cm.
Twiggy’s base is also inspired by the image of an angling rod occur the ground, having a simple, light disc that does not use up much space. Yet, at the beginning from the project, it had been an excellent metal body. Now it has become an easy task to insert anywhere, even by sliding it within a table, a chair or perhaps a carpet.
Twiggy can be a slender, natural symbol in space and thanks to this slender nature it is usually marked with strong colors, to harmonize with just about any environment or taste.
